Individual and family therapy is offered in English and Spanish to teens and young adults ages 12 to 25.
Huckleberry counseling and behavioral health staff, integrated into every one of Huckleberry's
programs, provide assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy to youth and
young adults. Huckleberry is committed to providing accessible, culturally competent, effective mental
health services and to reducing barriers and the stigma of seeking mental health services.
Specialities
Counselors work with the modalities that they have been trained in and are their preferred modalities
given a specific situation, including CBT among many other therapeutic techniques.
Accepts suicidal patients?
We don't work with youth who are actively experiencing suicidal ideation in a way that we feel is a current
threat, as they need to receive a higher level of care.
Sliding scale?
We have various ways of funding our counseling programs. In some instances, a family may be asked to
pay on a sliding scale. In other instances, services are of no cost to the client and family.
Due to high demand and a client waitlist, we do prioritize young people who are under-resourced,
uninsured, or underinsured.
Availability?
Depends on waiting list.
How to set up an appointment
Call and ask to speak to a counselor, or a youth can drop-in to clinic on Tuesday afternoons between 1:00
and 4:00 p.m. to meet a counselor.
