When founder Sally Newson's daughter was 13-years-old, the first "red
flags" of mental illness began appearing. The struggle to get her
diagnosed and treated correctly spanned three years of
misevaluations, unwillingness to diagnose a teen, incorrect therapy and
being prescribed a counter-beneficial prescription that made her
highly suicidal, a professional mistake that could have cost her daughter's life.
Throughout this harrowing time, she made a promise to help other
parents navigate the behavioral health system by providing actionable
tools to make diagnosis and treatment less of a guessing game and
more of a data-driven solution for early detection and intervention of
mental illness and disorders in teens.
